I'm a web designer/developer based in Southampton. And before you ask, "basher" is an old school nickname that's pretty much stuck. You see, I was an aspiring rock star for many years, thrashing my drums on many a sweaty stage for numerous bands, but mainly for bushbaby (heard of us? - nope, I thought not).
Out of necessity I designed the bushbaby website which, over the years, became as much of a passion as playing in the band. I also ended up designing a number of websites for other bands, DJs, producers, etc.
I didn't focus on web standards and accessibility back then. However, I did use CSS as much as possible for layout, which was a good thing. Moving forward a few years to the present, I decided to learn to do things properly by paying much closer attention to web standards and getting rid of all those bad habits!
As well as doing freelance design & development, I have worked at both Skandia & B&Q in their respective web development teams, and spent 6 months at Southampton-based digital agency unite form working as an HTML/CSS/.NET developer.
